Visioning is the first Phase of the Business Transformation lifecycle. It will set the goals for Business Transformation by:

•Formulating a Vision of what the business ‘could be' like in the future, how it will look or appear different to a customer

•Developing specific Outcomes that the business area wishes to achieve to move towards its Vision

•Developing a Future Operating Model that will describe the high level composition and operation of the changed organisation that will deliver the desired Outcomes.

An Outline Business Case (OBC) is produced at the end of this phase which will outline the transformation required and provide justification for development of a Full Business Case (FBC).
