It is a long-term programme, and seeks to save £1 billion over ten years through more efficient ways of working.

What is Business Transformation?
Business Transformation is all about making fundamental changes to the way the Council works. This is so that we can deliver better services to citizens first time every time. It is not simply looking at how we do things but reviewing what we actually do.
The Council has an ambitious Council Plan, which will not be achieved with a Business as usual approach. We are taking a radical look at the way we do things and finding ways of doing them better and more efficiently. Business Transformation involves:
