CHAMPS2 - Transformational change method launched

On November 9th 2010, the following article detailing the CHAMPS2 launch was published on the ‘Project Manager Today’ website and this will also be in the December issue.

At a launch (4 November) in London's old County Hall, overlooking the Houses of Parliament,  APMG-International  and Birmingham City Council (BCC) launched a certification scheme for CHAMPS2, a business change methodology developed with Capita for transforming BCC's business over the past four years.
 
Best practice in public transformation projects

enterprice_innovationOn October 11 2010, the following video interview with Rachel McClure who is the director of State and Local Government for SAP Asia Pacificvideo was published on eGov Asia's Enterprice Innovation website.

In the video she notes that transformational projects in the public sector can work if the people involved in the project understand what transformation really means to their organization, and the effort as well as midset change needed to happen at their end to make it all work. She also covers CHAMPS2 methodology, creating business cases for the transformation project, and the importance of getting all stakeholders involved and committed to the project.
